坦桑尼亞國際建材展覽會由坦桑尼亞外貿(mào)委員會（BET－Board of External Trade）創(chuàng)辦于1977年，每年舉辦一屆，得到坦桑尼亞工業(yè)貿(mào)易部、工農(nóng)業(yè)總商會等部門和機構的鼎力支持，是坦桑尼亞歷史最悠久、影響最大的綜合性國 際貿(mào)易博覽會。該博覽會的參展商主要來自坦桑尼亞、肯尼亞、烏干達、贊比亞、馬拉維、津巴布韋、南非、埃及、也門、伊朗、印度、美國、日本、俄羅斯、丹麥 和中國等20多個國家和地區(qū)。該博覽會共接待來自坦桑尼亞、肯尼亞、埃及等國家的觀眾55萬人次。
